OEDO held two afternoon photography workshops on 2/9 and 2/15 led by Mr. R. Yamashita, a freelance video consultant, attended by 11 TAs. The objective of the workshop was to train TAs how to create an effective storyboard for video production based upon shooting photos. Mr. Yamashita instructed TAs how to make a use of different types of photographs such as wide shots, medium shots and detailed/close-up shots; whether it was for a portrait, a picture of the destination or the subject in action, based on the rule of thirds. He mentioned how camera shooting angle has a strong effect to capture emotion and feeling when viewing a photograph. After his presentation, TAs were divided into teams to come up with a story by creating a storyboard and connecting a number of photos they then took. TAs then presented their photo album based story receiving feedback on their storyboard and photo composition.
